Restaurant Review : Kumi Cafe (Portuguese Restaurant) @ Damansara Heights

On one of our GMS (Girls’ Makan Session), we checked out Kumi Cafe at Damansara Heights. The “cafe” serves Portuguese food, where they boast delicious Eurasian cuisine, not dissimilar to Nyonya or Peranakan food.

The tiny cafe is tucked in a row of shop, in the middle of Damansara Heights housing area, right next to Stella Maris private school.

Size of a ground floor shoplot that has an approximate 50 pax seating

There’s only 3 of us this time. And you’d think that would mean we’d order less food. But nope – we went all out. Ordered so much food that even the waiter was hesitant.

Pre-ordered 500g Sambal Prawns
Curry Chicken Kapitan
Fish Pimante
Sambal Okra
Cincalok Egg Omelette
Deep fried eggplant
All that for 3 ladies

While the waiter was doubtful, 3 of us actually finished all the food. Yup, cleaned it all up, without a single crumb of leftovers.

Overall, the food was good. Ambiance was cosy, like you’re dining in a relative’s home. We also overstayed til quite late, and they were nice enough to not chase us away even though we were the last guests.

Happy (hangry) ladies

I got hungry and caught up with chatting with the ladies, forgot to take note of the price and final bill so can’t tell you how much it all cost. Can only say it was average priced, except the pre-ordered prawn which I remember was a bit more pricey.

So, this post is more of a #foodporn post. 🀀

For an intimate, casual catchups, if you’re into delicious Kristang food, please come check Kumi out.
