Turning 6 years old

Last weekend, my nephew, Christopher, just turned 6 years old.

Do you remember what it was like when you were that age? When you have no stress in your mind. To have no worries in the world. The most important thing in your life is that you want to play, have friends who all share your enthusiasm in life.

Even when you look like a lot is in your mind, there really isn’t

The family went out for dinner and headed home after that for presents. It’s really not difficult to think of what to buy for a 6 year old. There are the standard presents that might seem trivial for us, but when you’re that age… everything is exciting!

Christopher is a great kid. Full of enthusiasm and spirit. I love the things that he say and his train of thoughts.

Daddy’s birthday present – a bicycle

Christopher got a bicycle from his parents. It was a shiny red bicycle. With the two training wheels at the back, of course. He’s learning to ride a bike for the first time. The adults look on and share their lessons on how to ride a bike.

Needless to say, he was all smiles.

Daddy teaching you to ride a bike

I couldn’t resist posting this picture. It was taken by my younger brother, so I wouldn’t take credit for this. But the picture captured a beautiful sentiment. My elder brother teaching his son to ride a bike. A picture that captures a thousand words.

Ahhhh… to be young again.
