Some cool features were highlighted at the Global Launch event, like Bixby Intelligence Personal Assistant, where not only can you type or talk to it to launch search functions, there is also a dedicated button and you can use the camera to snap a picture for image search.
But the biggest selling point of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ has got to be the screen. Once again, dual edge curve screen. This time touting the bezel-less Infinity Display. Hence the #UnboxYourPhone hashtag. Well, just watch the official TVC below.
I haven’t had a chance to see or touch the new phone in person yet, unfortunately. With my long silence and irregular blogging, I don’t get as much first priority invites for gadget reviews anymore. I do hope I will get my hands on a review unit though.
In the meantime, here are some of the global tech sites review the Samsung Galaxy S8:-
- TechRadar : Hands on: Samsung Galaxy S8 review – A powerful phone that’s mostly screen
- Stuff : Samsung Galaxy S8 hands-on review – Giving buttons and bezels the boot shows Samsung can still deliver the goods
- CNet : Samsung Galaxy S8 looks amazing, but Bixby assistant is a wild card (hands-on)
