New HTC One (M8) Announced

The original HTC One (which I use as my primary smartphone) won multiple awards last year for its all metal unibody design, intuitive Sense 5 UI, new Ultrapixel camera that takes awesome low-light pictures and the front facing BoomSound stereo speakers.

Without disappointing their fans and the public, HTC announced their refreshed flagship with the announcement of HTC One (M8) last Tuesday, on 25 March 2014. Over the last few weeks leading up to the announcement, the device has been leaked with images, specs and hands-on videos way before the official event. There were literally not much we don’t already know before HTC made it official.

HTC also introduced a new official case for the HTC One (M8) called the “Dot View” case.

Being a crazy obsessive smart device case lover, I am truly excited about this case. It’s a flip case that has a mesh holes in the front, that displays quick notifications, like time, weather and calls, through the holes without having to open the flip cover.

I don’t know what to say… except – I WANT THIS CASE SO BADLY…..

Pricing and Availability

Good news!!! You don’t have to wait, because HTC announced that the new HTC One (M8) will be available globally with over 230 mobile operators simultaneously. This will include operators in Malaysia, namely the 4 major telcos – Maxis, Celcom, DiGi and U Mobile.

HTC Malaysia is pushing hard for a local launch of the HTC One (M8) by the end of April. – according to LowYat.net

As of time of writing, there has been no news or Registration of Interest pages from any of the 4 telcos. Which means, no indication of pricing yet.

However, if the indication of end April 2014 is true, it won’t be long until we all can get our hands on this impressive flagship HTC One (M8) soon.
