HTC Desire 600 Dual SIM and HTC Desire 200 Launched in Malaysia

First mid range smartphone on HTC Sense 5 UI

I used to have a HTC Desire smartphone. It was once the flagship Android phone from the Taiwanese manufacturer. Then, HTC announced their One series phones – HTC One X and HTC One X+ and now the all metal unibody HTC One with all new bells and whistles. After several iterations, Desire series is still a good phone and HTC has retained the name for their current mid range series for Android smartphones.

Last week, on 8 July 2013, HTC Malaysia announced the availability of 2 new Android smartphones in the Desire series – HTC Desire 600 Dual SIM and HTC Desire 200. With the product name, you can kinda guess that the former is the higher end of the two and comes with Dual SIM support.

The HTC Desire 600 Dual SIM is the first mid range device from HTC that runs on the latest Sense 5 UI with HTC BlinkFeed and HTC BoomSound. Coupled with the fact that it supports 2 simultaneous SIM card usage, running on “dual active” mode. Meaning, both SIMs are active at the same time, allowing you to receive calls one one line even if you’re on the other line!

Some of the highlighted “killer features” of the HTC Desire 600 Dual SIM includes:-

  • Dual SIM – Duh! Use 2 SIM cards simultaneously. Handy for roaming or to manage your call usage with 2 mobile networks.

  • HTC BlinkFeed – As seen in flagship HTC One, one tiled based interface for all your news feed, social and app updates.

The HTC Desire 200 is certainly an entry level smartphone, but still packs some interesting features and enhancements such as Beats Audio integration, an intuitive 5 megapixel rear camera and fast, easy internet browsing in a compact design. 3.5″ screen definitely make this a compact and cute phone for the first time smartphone users.
