Introducing Apple iPad

It’s only been less than 24 hours since Apple introduced their latest innovation for a tablet / e-reader which is basically a giant iPhone / iPod Touch.

Read about it here on Mashable. Also check out the hands on video from TechCrunch here. If you want more coverage (like there’s not enough already, just Google it).

As some of you know, I am not an Apple fanboy. In fact, I don’t like Apple at all. I just had quick debates with some friend who insists that this iPad is a new innovation. IT IS NOT NEW!!!! Many tablets was showcased in CES 2010 early this month. Furthermore, there were many other prototype or similar tablets out there.

Without getting into a hissy fit arguement, which will further agitate a non Apple supporter like myself, I would like to dedicate this post to all the funny parodies that were shared on the Social Media front today. Yes, less than 24 hours and there are already tonnes of spoofs and parodies.

Here’s one video from

The iPad – watch more funny videos

This one is from MadTV. Like everyone, making fun of the weird name that Steve Jobs have decided on.

Mashable ran a poll just before the announcement here and majority of its readers preferred the name iSlate. Should’ve listened to the masses, Steve.

I have to give it to the MadTV crew who loves to poke fun at Apple and Steve Jobs. Here is my all time favourite MadTV parody of the iRack.

I am certain that there will be more parodies or spoofs of the iPad in the coming weeks. I will be sure to update them once I get hold of more.
